A Case of Peuta Jeghers Syndrome Associated With Intestinal Obstruction

Abstract
|
|
|
The author has seen recently a case of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome associated with intestinal obstruction. This is a summary of clinicopathologic study with follow-up data on the case.
1. Both clinical and pathologic studies of this case showed identical data with those previously reported.
2. Intestinal obstruction as a complication of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome may occur. Treatment of this complication should be a conservative surgical intervention.
3. Numerous gastro-intestinal polyps observed on this case were hamartomatous in nature characteristic of this syndrome. The polyp of this case revealed no malignant changes,
4. The pedigree of the case presented a simple Mendelian dominant feature typical of the syndrome.
